Meet the Doctor
Dr. Annemarie Yoder has over 30 years of veterinary experience as Owner and Veterinary Medical Director of our Kutztown animal hospital. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1987, she and her husband Dr. Samuel Yoder co-founded Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic in Kutztown. She specializes in general medicine and loves solving challenging diagnostic cases that require careful investigation and creative problem-solving. As a certified veterinary acupuncturist since 1998, she was among the first in the area to combine alternative therapies with conventional treatment at this Kutztown veterinary practice, giving patients access to holistic healing options. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Yoder lives on an 88-acre farm in Kutztown where she raises cattle, pigs, and chickens while practicing a farm-to-table lifestyle that reflects her deep connection to animals and sustainable living.

What are your hours of operation?
Our Kutztown animal hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays. For after-hours emergencies when we are already closed, we recommend contacting Eastern PA Emergency, RUSH Urgent Care, or Blue Pearl for immediate assistance.
