Annemarie Yoder, DVM, CVA
Dr. Annemarie Yoder, DVM, serves as the Owner and Veterinary Medical Director of Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, a position she has held since its establishment in 1988. Dr. Yoder’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the State University of New York, Cornell University, where she also met her husband, Dr. Sam Yoder.
Dr. Yoder’s journey into veterinary medicine was driven by her lifelong passion for animals. Since childhood, she has been drawn to the companionship and care of animals, finding joy and fulfillment in their presence. Her favorite aspect of working with animals is witnessing their happiness and improved quality of life after receiving care.
As a veterinarian, Dr. Yoder’s professional interests lie in general medicine, particularly in challenging cases where the diagnosis is uncertain. She is also a certified veterinary acupuncturist (CVA) since 1998 and is passionate about combining acupuncture with other modalities to alleviate pain and enhance the well-being of her patients. Dr. Yoder is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA).
Outside of work, Dr. Yoder resides on an 88-acre farm in Kutztown with her husband and twin daughters, Rachel and Emma. She enjoys spending time with her horse, Hany, and is dedicated to mastering the art of Dressage and competing locally. Additionally, Dr. Yoder is an avid cross-country skier and embraces a farm-to-table lifestyle, producing much of her family’s food through gardening and raising cattle, pigs, and chickens. Cooking and baking using homegrown ingredients are among her favorite pastimes.
Samuel Yoder, VMD
Dr. Samuel Yoder, owner, and veterinarian, grew up in Kutztown and graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1982 with highest honors, earning a B.S. in biology and chemistry. Dr. Yoder continued his education by attending veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania. After his long, prestigious academic career, he chose veterinary medicine in the private sector by founding Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic with his wife, Dr. Annemarie Yoder. His professional interests include small animal endoscopy, orthopedic surgery, and any challenging case sent his way. Fun Fact: When not practicing, Dr. Yoder continues his goal of sustainability with Green Alchemy, an organization promoting renewable energy and sustainable living.
Mary Coughlin, VMD
Mary Coughlin, a dedicated veterinarian and owner of Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, has always been passionate about animals. Born and raised in the picturesque Lehigh Valley area, Mary’s journey into veterinary medicine began at a young age. With a lifelong desire to help animals coupled with a thirst for constant challenge and intrigue, she knew early on that this was her calling.
After completing her education, Mary embarked on her career in veterinary medicine, joining the Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic as a partner in the fall of 2019. As both an owner and veterinarian, Mary brings not only her expertise but also her unwavering dedication to providing the best care possible for her furry patients.
Mary’s professional interests span a wide range, from various surgical procedures including orthopedic, intestinal, bladder, and eye surgeries, to specialized surgeries for dogs with breathing difficulties. She also finds immense joy in nurturing the health of puppies and ensuring the wellbeing of geriatric dogs.
Outside of the clinic, Mary cherishes time spent with her family in Breinigsville. Alongside her husband Brian and their two young boys, John and Patrick, Mary enjoys the simple pleasures of life, including leisurely walks with their three beloved dogs: Charlie the Cairn terrier, Lily the border collie, and Gryffin the Aussie border mix. An avid fan of Iron Pigs baseball, Mary finds joy in cheering on her favorite team during their games.
But perhaps one of Mary’s greatest passions lies in her equestrian pursuits. With her quarter horse, Bruce, Mary competes in Hunter under Saddle events at AQHA shows, aiming for that coveted win at a major competition.

Sara Pomanti, DVM
Dr. Sara Pomanti is a Veterinarian at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, where she brings her passion for animal care and diverse educational background to her practice. Dr. Pomanti graduated from Juniata College and pursued her veterinary education at Ross University, completing her clinical year at Louisiana State University. Originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania, Dr. Pomanti found her way to the town where Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic is located.
Dr. Pomanti’s journey into veterinary medicine was influenced by her upbringing on a family farm, where she developed a deep connection with animals and a desire to help them. She finds fulfillment in the ever-changing nature of her work, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn.
For Dr. Pomanti, knowing she was in the right profession came from the excitement she feels when pursuing new skills, such as rehabilitation or ultrasound techniques. She is certified in canine rehabilitation, which allows her to provide additional support to injured or senior dogs.
Outside of work, Dr. Pomanti enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter, embracing the beauty of nature and quality time with her loved ones.
Kerri Recipko, DVM
Dr. Kerri Recipko, an esteemed associate veterinarian, brings a wealth of expertise and passion to her role at Dr. Kerri Recipko Veterinary Practice. Hailing from Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Kerri’s journey into the veterinary field began with a childhood dream that never wavered. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Delaware Valley College (now a university) before achieving her lifelong goal by earning her veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota.
Following graduation, Kerri found her way to the Kutztown area, drawn by its charm and proximity to her family. In the summer of 2017, she joined Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, where she quickly established herself as a dedicated and compassionate member of the team.
Kerri’s passion for veterinary medicine stems from her desire to be an advocate for animals and to nurture the human-animal bond. From her early days as a technician assistant, she was captivated by the diagnostic process and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of her patients.
As an accredited veterinarian and a member of prestigious organizations such as the AVMA and PVMA, Kerri’s professional interests span a wide range. She finds particular fulfillment in internal medicine, relishing the challenge of solving complex cases and providing comprehensive care from diagnosis to management. Ophthalmology also holds a special fascination for Kerri, who appreciates the intricate connections between ocular health and overall wellness. Additionally, she is passionate about preventative medicine, seeing it as a vital opportunity to educate pet owners and safeguard the health of their beloved companions.
Outside of the clinic, Kerri cherishes time spent with her family, including her brother and sister, as well as her three cherished cats. An avid lover of the outdoors, she enjoys hiking, biking, and fishing, finding solace and rejuvenation in nature’s embrace. Kerri also indulges her passion for horseback riding, relishing the opportunity to connect with these majestic animals. Through her multifaceted interests and unwavering dedication to veterinary medicine, Kerri Recipko continues to make a positive impact on the lives of animals and their human companions alike.
Teng Gater, DVM
Dr. Teng Gater, veterinarian, is a graduate of Mansfield University, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2018. She spent about two years working in a small animal clinic before attending the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time in Arizona, she volunteered surgical time at a local shelter. Since then she’s been passionate about soft tissue surgery and hopes to get into orthopedic surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, James and her dog, Rosco, and her cat, Gremlin. She’s excited to be back in Pennsylvania and explore her surroundings on the weekends.

Jaime Vanek, Practice Manager
Jaime Vanek, a dedicated professional with a heart for animals and their human companions, serves as the Practice Manager at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic. Hailing from Long Island, New York, Jaime has been a proud resident of Kutztown since the age of three, embracing the community as her own.
Jaime’s journey into the veterinary industry began during her college years when she took on a part-time role as a receptionist at a local clinic. It was there that she discovered her passion for connecting with people and their beloved pets. Witnessing the profound bond between humans and animals, Jaime felt drawn to the field of veterinary medicine and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of both pets and their owners.
Over the years, Jaime’s role at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic evolved as she immersed herself in continuing education and gained invaluable experience working alongside top-notch veterinarians and dedicated team members. From her early days as a receptionist, Jaime’s dedication and compassion shone through, earning her the trust and gratitude of clients.
Jaime knew she had found her calling when she received her first heartfelt thank-you card from a client, expressing gratitude for Jaime’s compassionate ear during a difficult time. This small gesture reaffirmed Jaime’s belief in the importance of listening and providing support to those in need, solidifying her commitment to her profession.
Outside of work, Jaime finds joy in spending time with her friends and family, especially her three wonderful children who inspire her every day. Krya Miller Reiss, CVT
Kyra Miller Reiss is a dedicated Certified Lead Technician at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, where she brings a wealth of experience and passion for animal care to her role. Growing up as a farm kid, Kyra developed a deep connection with animals from a young age, raising baby sheep, collecting tadpoles, and riding horses before she could walk.
After graduating high school, Kyra initially felt unsure about her career path until she discovered her passion for animal husbandry. She pursued her education at LCCC, where she graduated at the top of her class and earned her CVT license in 2012. Following her certification, Kyra gained valuable experience in general practice before transitioning to referral and emergency clinics for several years.
In 2018, Kyra and her husband moved to Kutztown, where she found her home at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic. Drawn by the clinic’s reputation for excellent care, Kyra joined the team and has been an integral part of the practice for six years.
Kyra’s love for animals fuels her dedication to her profession, as she finds joy in being the voice for her furry patients. Her journey in veterinary medicine solidified when she discovered the depth and challenges of the field, embracing the opportunity to help clients care for their beloved pets.
Outside of work, Kyra’s passion for animals extends to her personal life, where she owns three horses and a lively Australian Shepherd. She finds solace and fulfillment in spending time in the barn, actively competing in barrel racing and serving as a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist since 2021. Despite her busy schedule, Kyra thrives on staying active and finds fulfillment in pursuing her passions both inside and outside the clinic.
Karen Allen, CVT
Karen Allen is a Licensed Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, where she has been an integral part of the team since 2017. With a rich educational background and a wealth of experience in the field, Karen brings a high level of expertise and dedication to her role.
Karen’s journey into the veterinary industry began during her formative years when she volunteered to clean kennels at a local animal hospital in middle school. Her passion for animals and their well-being led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medical Technology from Wilson College, graduating in May 1994. Shortly after, Karen passed her state boards and has been practicing in the Berks county area ever since.
What drew Karen to the veterinary field was the dynamic nature of the work. She finds joy in the fact that each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. Her favorite aspect of working with animals is the unique and varied nature of each case, which has kept her engaged and passionate about her work for decades.
Karen knew she was in the right profession when she experienced those moments of clarity and understanding with clients, seeing the impact of their pets’ improved health and well-being. Performing dental cleanings is particularly rewarding for Karen, as she witnesses the immediate benefits for both the pet and the owner.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys a fulfilling family life, having been married for almost 34 years and raising three children. She cherishes spending quality time with her loved ones, whether it’s traveling to the beach or preserving cherished memories through scrapbooking. Karen’s dedication to her profession and her commitment to her family make her a valued member of both the veterinary community and her personal life.
Kaitlyn Loeper, CVT
Kaitlyn Loeper is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic. She joined the clinic on February 12th, bringing her expertise and passion for animal care to the team. Kaitlyn’s dedication to her work stems from her deep love for animals, which she knew from the moment she entered the profession. Her commitment to providing quality care and support for animals is evident in her daily interactions at the clinic.
Stephanie Allen, CVT
Stephanie is a dedicated Veterinary Technician at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic. A graduate of Wilson College in 2023, Stephanie is currently working towards obtaining her Veterinary Technician certification. After completing her college education, Stephanie returned to her hometown to gain more experience in the veterinary field, much to her mother’s amusement who also works in the same field.
Stephanie’s passion for working with animals has been a lifelong calling, stemming from her earliest memories. She found her way into the veterinary medical field, driven by her love for animals, particularly exotic ones like bunnies, which hold a special place in her heart.
She realized she was in the right profession when she began performing tasks hands-on and became the go-to person for help. This affirmation solidified her dedication to her career in veterinary medicine.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her beloved cat, Stitch, and her bunny, Oswald. When she’s not showering them with affection, she can be found at the gym or tending to her impressive collection of over 30 plants, nurturing her green thumb and finding solace in nature.
Sherri Vogel
Sherri Vogel has been working with animals for over 15 years and continues to love what she does. She started working at Silver Maple Vet Clinic in 2011. Sherri lives in Berks County with her husband, her daughter, Kenzi, and her fur babies. Fun Fact: Sherri was once on the popular television show, The Price is Right.
Ashley Steuer
Ashley Steuer, she is a dedicated Veterinary Technician at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic. Originally hailing from Fleetwood, Ashley’s journey in the veterinary field began with her passion for animals and a solid educational foundation.
After graduating from Fleetwood High School in 2007, Ashley pursued her academic aspirations at Wilson College, where she graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology. During her time at Wilson College, Ashley actively contributed to campus life, serving as the Class of 2011 historian and holding positions of secretary in the Veterinary Technology Club and vice president of the Pre-Vet Club.
Ashley’s decision to enter the veterinary industry stemmed from her profound love for animals. She finds fulfillment in her role as a vet tech, relishing the opportunity to assist a diverse range of animals and learn something new each day. For Ashley, working with animals isn’t just a job – it’s a calling that brings her immense joy and satisfaction.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ashley’s world revolves around her loved ones. She tied the knot with her husband Nick in November 2022, marking a significant milestone in her personal life. During her downtime, Ashley enjoys quality time with friends and family, as well as indulging in her passion for country line dancing.
Justine Bennecoff, Veterinary Technician
Justine Bennecoff, veterinary technician, and our Hydrospecialist, loves working with animals both at the clinic and on her pig farm. In addition to pigs, she has sheep, chickens, donkeys, and a horse. Justine submits her animals to local fairs and also presents them at the annual Pennsylvania Farm Show. She also loves just hanging out with her animals, particularly with her dogs Lacey, Millie, and Tequila. When she’s not working with animals, Justine is also a sports fanatic, with a favorite being softball. Fun Fact: Justine could definitely take on a black bear in a fight and win.
Colton Cromer
A graduate of Fleetwood Area High School, Cole pursued his love for biology at Delaware Valley University. He is currently advancing his expertise by obtaining his Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credentials through Penn Foster. Cole’s journey into the veterinary field stems from his joy in contributing to the health and happiness of animals. He delights in the unique personalities of each animal and finds fulfillment in the positive impact he makes on their lives.
Outside of his professional life, Cole is a family-oriented individual who enjoys spending quality time with his parents, sister, and brother. An avid baseball player, Cole played throughout high school and for a year at Wilmington University before transferring to Delaware Valley University. He also cherishes time with his two dogs, Sadie and Kali, and his cat, Adley. Cole’s interests include fishing, hiking, watching sports, and embarking on spontaneous adventures. Before joining the Silver Maple Vet family, he gained valuable experience as a zookeeper, caring for a diverse range of animals such as giraffes, zebras, and kangaroos.

Kelly Adam, a dedicated animal enthusiast and skilled professional, serves as a Veterinary Assistant and Dog Trainer at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic. Born and raised in the vibrant community of Kutztown, Kelly’s passion for animals blossomed from a young age.
After graduating from high school in Kutztown, Kelly pursued her love for animals by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Penn State University. Her educational background provided her with a strong foundation in animal care and behavior.
Kelly’s journey into the veterinary industry began during her high school years when she started working in boarding kennels. Her hands-on experience caring for animals sparked a deep-seated passion for helping them lead happy and healthy lives. Over time, Kelly transitioned to assisting in veterinary clinics, where she found fulfillment in providing compassionate care to furry companions in need.
As a Veterinary Assistant and Dog Trainer, Kelly’s expertise lies in helping animals feel better and fostering stronger bonds between dogs and their owners through training. Trevor Patches, Veterinary Assistant
Trevor Patches is a dedicated Veterinary Tech Assistant at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, bringing a deep-rooted love for animals and a passion for veterinary care to his role. Born and raised in Oley, Trevor’s affinity for animals has been a constant in his life from a young age.
Currently attending Kutztown University, Trevor balances his academic pursuits with his commitment to animal welfare. His journey into the veterinary industry began with a childhood dream of becoming a large animal veterinarian. This aspiration was further solidified during his tenure working on a dairy farm in 2022, where he had the privilege of learning alongside seasoned professionals in the field.
In November of 2023, Trevor seized the opportunity to join the team at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, drawn by its proximity to his studies and his unwavering passion for animal care. His favorite aspect of working with animals lies in witnessing their recovery and seeing them return to health and happiness, as well as collaborating with compassionate colleagues who share his dedication to animal welfare.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Trevor finds joy in spending time with his family, including two older sisters and a younger brother, as well as his beloved 12-year-old dog, Cupcake. An avid nature enthusiast, Trevor frequently immerses himself in the great outdoors, finding solace and rejuvenation in its beauty. Additionally, he enjoys working on cars and attending car meets, indulging his passion for automotive craftsmanship and community.

Shelby Adornetto, Veterinary Assistant
Shelby Adornetto is a passionate and dedicated veterinary technician in training, currently making strides in her career at Shelby’s, a thriving business focused on animal care. With a lifelong love for animals, Shelby’s journey into the veterinary field began at a young age when she started working on Annmarie and Sam’s farm. It was there that her passion for animal care was ignited, leading to an opportunity to join the team at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic.
Driven by her love for animals and a desire to make a difference in their lives, Shelby eagerly embraced her role as a veterinary technician in training. She finds fulfillment in being able to care for animals in need and deeply values the support and guidance of her colleagues along the way.
For Shelby, the moment she knew she was in the right profession was on her very first day on the job. The comfort she felt working with animals and alongside her supportive coworkers solidified her belief that she had found her calling.
Outside of work, Shelby leads an active and fulfilling life on her own little farm, which is home to mules, horses, and other animals. An avid equestrian, she finds joy in riding horses and competes in jumpers. Additionally, Shelby has a passion for welding and plans to further her skills by attending Berks Career and Technology Center for welding.

Makenzie Brungard, Veterinary Assistant
Makenzie Brungard is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, where she began her journey in August 2023. Born and raised in Slatington, PA, Makenzie graduated from Northern Lehigh High School before seizing the opportunity to work at Silver Maple, which prompted her to relocate to Kutztown for a fresh start.
Makenzie’s passion for working with animals dates back to her childhood dreams, and she finally pursued her calling when she joined Silver Maple. From the moment she stepped into the clinic, Makenzie knew she had found her dream job. Her favorite aspect of working with animals is witnessing their healing and thriving under her care.
For Makenzie, the realization that she was in the right profession came swiftly. Unlike her previous jobs, working at Silver Maple left her feeling fulfilled and excited to return each day. Building bonds with the animals and being able to contribute to their well-being brings her immense joy and fulfillment.
Outside of work, Makenzie finds support and encouragement from her family, who believed in her decision to join the Silver Maple team. Apart from her passion for animal care, she has a love for art, often drawing and painting for friends and family. Makenzie also enjoys exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and advocating for Crohn’s disease awareness, a cause close to her heart.

Malorie Hinrichs, Inventory Manager and Technician Assistant
Malorie Hinrichs, ordering manager and veterinary assistant, came to Silver Maple in March of 2014. She started as an assistant and has taken over ordering inventory as well. She has loved animals for as long as she can remember, and feels that Silver Maple is the perfect place to call her second home. She has seven “children”: her sidekick, Jemmy, the Australian Shepherd; Kuma and Aya, the Shiba Inus; three cats named Paul, Romy, and Fizz; and a ball python named Koda. In her spare time, she enjoys hunting and fishing, hiking with Jemmy, showing her El Camino at local car shows, collecting vintage salt and pepper shakers, playing guitar, doing yoga, and hanging with her husband, Jim. Fun Fact: She can juggle, and was in the same juggling club as another member of the Silver Maple crew, Caroline!
Sara Rinehimer, Pharmacy Technician
Sara joined our team in September of 2017. She came to us from Plains Animal Hospital. She moved to Berks county to be closer to her boyfriend. Professionally, Sara prides herself in making it a point to always make sure our patients feel at home, are shown attention, and are as comfortable as they can be. Sara is also known for making jokes and lightening the mood!
Outside of work, Sara enjoys traveling home to her family farm in Mountain Top, Pa and on weekends can be found cooking or making day trips to local antique shops.
Sara has 2 dogs Bella and Grace and has grown up with chickens, ducks, peacocks, rabbits, sheep, and cattle!

Bethanne Kushner, Lead Customer Care Representative
Bethanne Kushner is the Head Receptionist at Silver Maple Vet Clinic, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring excellent client service and support. Bethanne joined the clinic after working as a hairstylist, having graduated from cosmetology school in 2001. Born and raised in Kutztown, her decision to work at Silver Maple was influenced by her sister, Jaime, who spoke highly of the clinic’s welcoming environment and community-oriented ethos.
Bethanne’s passion for her role stems from her desire to provide compassionate care not only to the animals but also to their owners. She finds fulfillment in ensuring that clients receive the same level of care and attention that their beloved pets do. Working alongside dedicated veterinarians, technicians, and support staff who share her commitment to patient care reaffirms Bethanne’s belief that she’s in the right profession.
Outside of work, Bethanne enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Rich, and their 14-year-old son, Ty. They share their home with their beloved golden retriever, River, and their newest addition, Rupert the cat.
Karla Xander, Customer Care Representative
Karla Xander is a cherished member of the Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic team, where she has served as a dedicated Receptionist since January 1997, marking an impressive tenure of 27 years. With a profound love for animals that has spanned her entire life, Karla plays a pivotal role in welcoming clients and ensuring the smooth functioning of the clinic.
Karla’s journey into the veterinary industry was a natural extension of her lifelong passion for animals. From a young age, she has been surrounded by pets and has found immense joy and fulfillment in their company. For Karla, animals are not just companions; they are an integral part of her life, bringing comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging.
The moment Karla knew she was in the right profession was when her work ceased to feel like a job and instead felt like a calling. Surrounded by animals at the clinic, she found a sense of home and belonging that reaffirmed her passion for her work. Even on the busiest of days, Karla couldn’t help but express her love for her job, often remarking on the joy of having a cat perched on her desk as she worked.

Stacy Heintzelman brings a unique blend of hospitality and compassion to her role as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic. Joining the team on March 5, 2018, Stacy quickly established herself as an integral member of the clinic’s dedicated staff.
Prior to her career in veterinary medicine, Stacy spent many years working as a bartender, where she had the pleasure of knowing Ellen Austin, the mother of Silver Maple’s practice manager. Little did Stacy know at the time that this connection would lead her to a fulfilling career in animal care.
Stacy’s journey into the veterinary industry was inspired by her love for animals, particularly her three beloved cats: Gunner, Hank, and Sausage. Their companionship ignited Stacy’s passion for helping pets and their owners alike.
What truly resonates with Stacy in her role as a CSR is the opportunity to forge personal connections with clients, making them feel like valued members of the Silver Maple family rather than mere numbers on a chart. It’s this sense of camaraderie and support that fuels Stacy’s dedication to her profession.
Outside of work, Stacy leads an active lifestyle, dividing her time between the gym and the tattoo shop, where she adds to her impressive art collection. A true music aficionado, Stacy also enjoys attending concerts, immersing herself in the electrifying atmosphere of live performances.

Samantha Olivia, Customer Care Representative
Samantha Oliva, a compassionate and dedicated member of the team at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic, serves as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) with a deep-rooted passion for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care. Originally hailing from a small town in Orange County, NY, Samantha’s journey has taken her through various educational and professional experiences before settling in Pennsylvania.
After attending college in New Jersey, Samantha pursued her Paralegal Certification at Villanova University. She worked for several firms in the legal field before ultimately making the decision to transition to the veterinary industry, seeking a more personally fulfilling career path. Samantha’s love for animals has been a constant throughout her life, stemming from her involvement in an intense nature group during her formative years.
For Samantha, the decision to work in the veterinary industry was driven by a desire for a more rewarding and fulfilling work experience. Her appreciation for animals and the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives fueled her transition from the legal field to veterinary care.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Samantha’s life is enriched by her fiancé, Paul, and their recent purchase of their first home. They share their space with a diverse menagerie of pets, including two cats named Dexter and Isabella, as well as five bearded dragons.
In her leisure time, Samantha enjoys exploring the vibrant brewery scene, attending concerts, and indulging her love for the great outdoors through hiking and fishing. She also has a passion for discovering unique culinary experiences at local eateries and supporting small businesses in her community.

Joanna Solt, Customer Care Representative
Joanna Solt is a receptionist at Silver Maple Vet Clinic, where she joined the team in August of 2022.
Originally from the area, Joanna pursued her education at Kutztown University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. After several years working in hospitality as an Event Sales and Coordinator, Joanna felt the need for a change of careers, especially in the wake of the Covid pandemic, which led her to Silver Maple.
Her childhood experiences on her parents’ farm, surrounded by horses, goats, dogs, and cats, instilled in Joanna a deep respect for animals and nature. She believes in the unspoken comfort that pets bring to humans and finds great fulfillment in being part of Silver Maple, where she can extend this compassion to pet owners and their companions.
Joanna realized she was in the right profession when she began to feel a sense of peace and purpose in her work. Unlike previous jobs, she eagerly looks forward to each day, knowing that she is making a difference for both pets and their owners. For her, the highlight of her role is greeting pets and their owners, providing them with a sense of ease and comfort during their visits.
Outside of work, Joanna prioritizes spending time with her family, dog, and cat. She enjoys various outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and hunting, as well as gardening. Additionally, she finds relaxation in cooking, caring for her houseplants, and unwinding with a good movie or TV show at the end of the day.
Sara Putt, Customer Care Representative
Sara Putt brings a wealth of experience in customer service, marketing, and design to her role at Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic. Joining the team in July 2022, Sara serves as the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and handles marketing initiatives for the clinic.
Originally from a background in graphic design, Sara earned her degree in the field and spent several years honing her skills in marketing and design roles. With over 17 years of experience in customer service and retail management, Sara brings a unique blend of creativity and professionalism to her position at Silver Maple.
Driven by her desire to help both animals and people, Sara found her calling in the veterinary industry. She is passionate about creating positive experiences for clients and their beloved pets, striving to ensure that every interaction leaves a lasting impression of care and compassion.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her partner, Matthew, and their furry family members. Their household includes two dogs, Sykes, a pitbull mix, and Mavis, a blue heeler collie, as well as two cats, Cornell and Goose. In her free time, Sara embraces her love for the outdoors and enjoys exploring nature with her canine companions.
